Saddle Gall Midge 2 Trap

Saddle Gall Midge Trap is designed to catch adult saddle gall midges (Haplodiplosis marginata). It is an effective way to monitor for the presence of the pest and indicates when to examine the crop for female midges or their eggs. The adult males are attracted to the female sex pheromone contained in the lure and become stuck on the glue surface in the trap. This pest is sporadic and localised.
